We suggest you to lay over in the town of Cortina D’Ampezzo, so as to appreciate the handicraft masterpieces. Cortina D’Ampezzo is fomous for the wrought iron crafts. Crafts in Cortina D’Ampezzo are loved both for their ancient traditions and their excellent quality: objects in brass, wrought iron, in wood inlaid with precious materials, leaded and filigree glass.

In the Val Sarentino/Sarntal the clothing shops go from top-designer boutiques to shops selling clothes in Tyrolese style, like the ever-present loden. The leather belt, named as "Fatsch" in Val Sarentino/Sarntal dialect, is due to a traditional art exerted for over 200 years: the embroidery on leather.
