The vast number of museums in Trentino, spread all over the area of the province, have much to offer. For those interested in history and ancient castles the “Castello del Buonconsiglio” is the place to go. If you’re more into modern buildings and contemporary art then don’t miss the "Mart", the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The many other smaller museums provide a fascinating window into life in the past, into the culture of Trentino as well as into various aspects of how people lived and still live in the mountains. Worthy of mention at this point is the Museum of alpinism. Of course both the natural and the archeological parks are museums too – outdoor museums.
