A Holiday to remember and to taste! The Christmas food in the Dolomites is delicious.
In South Tyrol you can taste: goulash soup, barley soup with smoked meat, the famous Tirtln filled with spinach or or sauerkraut.
For those that love sweets: Krapfen filled with various kinds of marmelade, fritelle with blueberry marmelade or with apples and cinnamon sugar. Buchteln with vanilla cream, torroni, almond sweets, fruit candy, sirups, marzapane, zelten, strudel, krapfen, Schneeballe, chestnuts, “drunken friars", lebkuchen, vin brule and “parampapoli”. Also canederli, apples, chocolate and filled pasta.
The Christmas markets in the main cities near the Dolomites have many stands where you can enjoy them!
